The Imperial Reederei Group and the Reederei Ed Line GmbH from Berlin are looking forward to a joint future with majority shareholder Ralf Maehmel.

On May 1st 2009, BARIS Schifffahrtsges. mbH, which is based in Berlin, will start its business operations. Imperial Reederei GmbH will hold shares in this young enterprise.

 

BARIS develops conceptions for the transport of heavy and large-volume assets on inland and coastal waters. Moreover, services in the fields of forwarding and economic consulting are going to extend the activities of this start-up.

 

The federal capital Berlin is a traditional location for the Imperial Reederei Gruppe. In cooperation with the affiliated company BARIS the aim is to provide customers with special know-how. Last year, the RHINE-HAMBURG-LINIE already started its business operations in this segment with great success.
